Welcome to the DCA Honors Anatomy & Physiology Lower Extremity Injuries Wiki Page

Here you will find projects completed by the students in the 2nd & 7th Period Honors Anatomy & Physiology class.  These projects relate to injuries of the lower extremity.  Our students are currently studying the bony anatomy of the lower extremity.  These classes were asked to apply their learning by finding an injury to one of the bones of the lower extremity and discussing different features about that injury, such as:

  • The name of the injury, illness, or disease of the lower extremity

  • The population of people that this injury typically affects.

  • How this injury typically occurs

  • Types of treatments involved to care for this injury

  • The recovery time (time of healing) from this type of injury

  • And what made them interested in this particular injury
